This is a special place for me as I learned to surf here on a holiday to the Skewjack surf village in 1977. The north end of this beach (called Gwenver) is my favourite spot on earth. Swimming around Land’s End into Sennen from Porthcurno on my round Cornwall swim was an unforgettable day. This piece will always remind of the happiest times.
The piece is crafted from a 75mm block of Birch Ply. The polished resin sides of the “ocean” feel like they are letting you look into the undersea world. This version is 615 x 495mm, but could be scaled up to larger sizes on request. It has a 6mm toughened glass top to protect the art beneath and to allow you to put your coffee cup on a level surface. The legs and bracings are crafted in Ash and it has a 6mm toughened glass top so you can use the table without damaging the art.
